Suggestion Mode for Any Page
Request
WikiHub should support a suggestion mode on normal pages, where someone can suggest edits without directly overwriting the page.
Desired behavior
On any page, a user should be able to do something like:
- Suggest edit
- propose copy changes / additions / deletions
- attach optional rationale
- let the page owner or maintainers accept / reject / merge the suggestion
Why this matters
This gives a middle ground between:
- locked-down pages that are hard to improve
- fully public-edit pages that may be too risky
Suggestion mode would be especially good for:
- docs
- product feedback pages
- community-maintained knowledge bases
- pages where contribution is welcome but moderation still matters
Product benefits
- lower friction for contributions
- safer collaboration than public-edit everywhere
- clearer review flow
- better fit for official product/docs pages
Nice-to-have details
- diff view before submission
- accept / reject / comment workflow
- contributor attribution
- optional per-page or per-wiki setting
- allow page owners to choose between direct edit, suggestion-only, or private
Success condition
A user reading any page should be able to think: “I know how to improve this,” click one button, and propose a change without fear of breaking the canonical version.
