why Chrome won: extension ecosystem, dev tools, and compatibility. the battery cost is real but acceptable.
keyboard-driven browsing: Vimium turns Chrome into a keyboard-first browser — press f and every link gets a letter overlay. paired with Homerow for native macOS apps, the trackpad becomes optional. Karabiner has Chrome-specific overrides too via Karabiner-Elements.
