Weekly themes

muShanghai is structured as four week-long thematic blocks, each anchored by a flagship event and surrounded by hackerhouses, tours, and meetups. The 2026 sequence:

Week 1 — AI

Featured organizations include Alibaba (Qwen), TikTok (SeeDance 2.0), Kimi, and Z.Ai. The anchor event is the OpenClaw competition — a builder-facing showcase whose format I'll document here once observed.

Week 2 — Biotech & Longevity

Featured: XtalPi, MindRank AI, DrugFarm, Baichuan AI, Fudan University, plus others not yet named publicly. Anchor: the Longevity Market showcase.

Week 3 — Robotics & Hardware

Featured: AGIBot, Unitree, BYD, Xiaomi. Anchor: the Underground Robot Fight Club — billed exactly as you'd hope.

Week 4 — Culture

14+ cultural / creative organizations participate. Anchor: a closing festival, described as "a music festival or Burning Man-style closing event." Format presumably finalizes closer to the date.
